I agree with the idea that child abuse is not justifiable in any form, including the physical. Abuse is defined as treating one in a, “harmful, injurious, or offensive way.” (1) Discipline is defined as [bringing one] to a state of order by training and control. (1) I believe that there are a considerable amount of adults that misconstrue the actions and intentions that separate the two. Eliminating options to hit a child eliminates the chances of physical force becoming injurious or offensive. It also enforces training alternatives that promote using morals and ethics rather than fear of physical consequence to make virtuous decisions.
